"But Ravenclaws are ment to like that sort of thing arnt they?" Pansy laughed, she hoped it didnt sound mean because she knew she could be mean but she was joking with Kayley. Pansy wasnt really the cleaverest and that made her resent studying, she enjoyed fashion and the like alot more. She laughed, "If they pick on you i'll tell them where to go, they tend to listen to me" she said with a smirk, she couldnt imagine her friends standing up to her, she was the ring leader so to speek and she knew her friends would try to make an effort. "And if you have any trouble from Draco I can get his sister to sort it" Pansy added with a friendly smile, she knew Draco Malfoy liked picking on just about everyone but Virgo would stop him if Pansy asked her.

"Yeah, we're supposed to love learning and thinking we're better than everyone else. Well, excpet for me" Kayley said laughing slightly. Kayley listened to how she'll stand up for Kayley with Draco and her friends. Kayley grinned from ear to ear. She was happy that a Slytherin was a friend and wasn't embarrased by it. It wasn't common thats for sure, but Kayley didn't mind one bit. "If Cho ever giggles too loudly I'll tell her to shut up and put a jinx on her so nobody could hear her speak if you want" Kayley suggested, smiling brightly.

"Well I'm glad you dont think that" Pansy said with an honest smile, she hated people like that, though she knew she could act like that but if people were kind to her why not do the same. Kayley treated her like a real person, she didnt follow her and look up to her or hate her just for being in Slythern, it was a nice change. Pansy laughed at Kayleys suggestion "Thanks I'd appreciate that" she said smiling back, still with a laugh. Pansy hadnt had such a free conversation in a long time, it was a refreashing change.

"Me too" Kayley said stupidly. She blushed slightly and laughed. Kayley thought of herself and different she would be if she was stuck up. Kayley laughed again when Pansy agreed. "Brilliant. I've always wanted an excuse to jinx her" Kayley admited sheepishly. She really enjoyed talking to Pansy, she was the first person from a different house that she's ever spoken to that didn't make her feel like a total geek or a nerd. It was a nice change, it was something she didn't expect from a Slytherin.

"I always like to think you don't have to be what everyone expects you to be. With certian people you do but the whole world doesnt have to see that. I mean I guss I dont have the reputation of being the nicest girl around" Pansy shrugged but smiled. She deffinatly wasnt the nicest and acted like a spoilt brat half the time but that was the show that was expected from her mothers circle of people; pureblood Parkinson girls were the type of girl no one would ever see cry and all those stereotypes. "Aweosme" Pansy laughed too, Kayley was a fun girl, they would be good friends "Hey I thought you were friends with her" Pansy added, still giggling lightly.

Kayley listened to Pansy and she nodded in agreement. She thought that was very profound of Pansy to say, and Kayley fully agreed with her. "Yeah, I actually get what you mean, Well I think you're nice" Kayley said with a small smile playing on her lips. With Kayley, she was glad that she wasn't a pureblood, it would be too much preasure for her to fit into the pre-set mold that has been around since the middle ages. "We are, I guess. I don't know, we're friends but we both kind of hate eachother and she talks behind my back. Which I'm doing to her right now" Kayley said shrugging, "But anyway, we're really just friends for show, we're not true friends"

Pansy bit her lips but then smiled when Kayley agreed, Pansy had never said anything like that outlound before, there was always a chance what she said would be spread back to the wrong ears but she felt like she could tell Kayley these things. Pansy just hoped that Kayley wouldn't say anything. Though for some unknowen reason the Slytherin girl trusted the Ravenclaw.
Pansy laughed a little "Well I'm glad you thing I'm nice" she said smiling in a friendly way. "I undertand the friends for show thing I really do, I suppose you've probably seen myself and Dracos gangs of Slytherins, I suppose we arnt hard to miss when we make our selves head. Sort of like Changs little gang of giggly girls" Pansy laughed rather harshly at the though of comparing Cho Chang to herself. When Pansy thought of Hogwarts they way she had just spoken of it reminded her of those American teen shows about girls and cliques.

Smiling, Kayley nodded her head at Pansy as if to say, 'you can trust me'. Kayley was a very trust-worthy person, after all, she didn't like to spread rumors or anything of the sort. Plus, if she had a secret she'd feel very rotton if someone told everyone in site. Cho Chang does that sort of thing all the time and it annoyed Kayley to no end.
Kayley smiled at Pansy and said, "I'm glad I think you're nice too" She laughed a little bit and looked back at the lake. "So, when can I meet your friends?" Kayley asked smilling. She was pretty excited to meet a group of Slytherins who apparently are nice. And who knows? Maybe they will become friends.

Pansy smiled back as she saw Kayleys nod which seemed to say they could trust eachother. Pansy bemed, she had never had a true friend like Kayley. Her friends was nice enough yes, but when they wanted to be, Pansy got tired of being the stereotypical mean girl sometimes. She liked having someone to trust, she couldnt always trust her little gang and Kayley appeared to feel the same and that made her happy to have a real friend.
Pansy followed Kayleys eyes over to the lake and she watched some students messing around at the edge, it was the start of term and so exam stresses hadnt quite sunk in yet so everyone was still messing around as if it were still the summer break. All the cramming didnt usually hit till christmas at Hogwarts. Pansy thought for a moment then spoke again, "How about the next trip to Hogsmede?" Pansy suggested thoughtfully. This would give her a week or two to talk her friend round.

Kayley lookd at Pansy and saw the kids messing around he waters edge. Pretty soon kids will be trading in their pranks and quidditch games in for long nights in the library. Kayley was always ontop of her school work, unless it was a subject she didn't like at all, which was Muggle Studies for her. She didn'thate muggles, but she was very happy that she wasn't taking that this year and was taking Care of Magical Creatures instead.
"Next Hogsmeade trip sounds wonderful, it's in a couple weeks, right?" Kayley asked.
Kayley hoped that it WAS in a couple of weeks, that would mean she could keep telling her group of friends that she couldn't hang out and why she couldn't. Kayley figured that they would think it was just a big joke and that nobody would believe her after a a week or two.

Pansy thought for a moment "The weekend after next I think" she aswered. Pansy almost always knew when Hogsmeade trips were because she would always be planning an extensive shopping trip, plus she loved to get out of the musty old castle. Kayley looked like she was thinking and Pansy wondered if Kayles friends would believe she was going to be hanging out with Slytherins "Hey I'll have a word with them" she said thinking out loud, hoping she was thinking that so she wouldnt look crazy she laughed to herself. It was true though, who would believe a Slytherin and a Ravenclaw, but hey, she didnt care.

"Awesome, awsome" Kayley said, deep in thought. She was thinking of how to tell her friends, but then she remembered; that weekend they all planned to play Quidditch and then go over to that frilly little teashop afterwords, and one of them said something about shoping before seeing the Shreiking Shack. This would work out nicely, because originally Kayley was just going to the Three Broomsticks, get a book, and take a look at Honeydukes and call it a day.
She was wrapped upin her own thoughts, when Pansy talked Kayley asumed that she was reading her mind. "Oh no, its fine. I wasn't going to hang out with them anyways" Kayley said, not really thinking. Then Kayley thought and smacked her forehead. "Yeah.. you weren't talking about the same thing I was thinkig were you?" Kayley asked, grinning.

"I can let you know where are going to meet and stuff next week" she added with a friendly smile. They would probably just hang out in the three broomsticks and back take a look in a few shops, that was her usual plan if she didnt have big shopping plans.
Pansys eyes moved from the students messing around by the lake to Kayley who had been slient for a long time and had a dazed look as if deep in thought. Pansy looked puzzled but stayed quite, wondering what the other girl could possibly be thinking about. Pansy jumped in shock when Kayley suddenly hit herself in the forehead. "Jees girl, talk about giving someone a heart attack" she caught her breath then laughed. "I dont know what you were talking about but I was meaning your Ravenclaws probably wont believe youre hanging out with us so I can prove it to them if you want" she said explaining her thoughts.

Kayley smiled and figured that she should go book shopping before, she didn't want the Slytherin's to make fun of her mor than they already might do. She didn't care, though. She was happy with herself so she didn't care what other people might say. "That works for me" said said grinning.
Kayley laughed along, "I.. nevermind" Kayley said. She didn't really liked to talk about when she did something stupid; she'd been around Ravenclaws too much. "Oh no, you don't have to do it. I just remembered that I wasnt going to hang out with them anyway. They'll see us down there anyway" Kayley said smiling.

"Thats good, we will have fun, promise" Pansy added still with her frienly smile and a happy sparkle in her eyes. She knew she would enjoy the company of her new friend, but wondered something "You do like to shop dont you?" she asked, unsure, some of these Ravenclaw types wernt into fasion and shopping, which Pansy had thought was every girls dream when she was a child.
"Oh thats good, we dont want you ditching on Chang just for us" Pansy replied with a laugh. She thought for a moment, of course they probably would see them, PAnsy wasnt exacitally the brightest. Most of Hogwarts when on the weekend trips, everyone third year and above of course. Most student bumpt into eachother, and Pansys gang of girls often used this to bully some students who annoyed them without the praying eyes of the teachers watching.
