Well as far as Iris was concerned the evening had been a bit of a let down. She'd been out on at the Quidditch pitch watching the Hufflepuff team practice, because really none of them were nearly intimidating enough to tell her to get lost. However by the time she got back up to the castle for dinner there wasn't a whole lot of choice left on the Ravenclaw table. She didn't even want to know what had been in the suspicious looking casserole, so she'd settled for the soup even though it had spring onion in it and she wasn't exactly fond of that vegetable.
After her rather meagre meal she'd headed up to library to do her homework, which hadn't been nearly as enjoyable as she usually found it. Doing History of Magic homework usually meant finding dusty old books from forgotten corners of the library and Iris hated old books. The dust made her sneeze and they usually felt old and papery, not nearly as nice as the glossy pages of newly printed texts. Then there had been the Gryffindor couple playing footsy at the next table. If they wanted to feel each other up in public there were plenty of other places to do it, it didn't have to be near her.
With her freshly written essay completed (four whole inches longer than the Professor had asked for), Iris headed out of the library with the intention of tracking down Caitlyn the ghost and challenging her to a game of wizard's chess to pass the rest of the evening. Instead she'd spotted Marius heading along a corridor and decided to follow him, intrigued by the sword he was carrying. Not that she wouldn't have followed him if he hadn't been carrying a sword. He was Marius Black, he was worth following any hour of the day and under any circumstances.
However somewhere around the seventh floor she'd lost track of him and Iris really didn't understand how. With an scowl on her face she'd searched all the nearby rooms and corridors but come up entirely empty handed. For about half an hour she'd sat in an alcove waiting for him to appear again, but no such luck. Iris had admitted defeat when the cold of sitting in the stone walled corridor got too much and she got up and flounced off down the hall, noticing the lighting getting eerie signaling for curfew and getting closer to it each staircase she went down... Great. Where the bloody hell was she supposed to be NOW? "Perfect. Just BRILLIANT." She muttered.

Jason was on the second floor as he had spent most of the day wizard's chess and cards with a few friends and a ghost here and there. Jason was walking down as he saw going to go back to his common. He had noticed it was getting late but he wasn't in too much of a hurry. So he went walking just taking his time when he had walked for awhile and then heard other footsteps coming his way. Jason then stopped where he was as he just stood there and waited to see who it could that was coming his way.
