 Calgary: at a glance, it's the perfect city to live in. Home to a diverse population, a bustling downtown area, and the prestigious Ymedaca Academy. However, is anything ever really as it seems? Many humans would have you think so, but others know better. A human may share office space with the undead; his neighbor may spend all their free time quadrupedal and dog-shaped. Indeed, the population of Calgary is even more diverse than you'd think, and most humans remain ever unaware of it. This is thanks to Ymedaca Academy, where all manner of supernatural creatures learn the ins and outs of blending in with human society. The school serves another purpose, however, for as long as there have been supernatural creatures, there have been those who hunt them. Ymedaca Academy has become a sanctuary for them; a place where the future generations need no longer fight to survive.
And yet, things have never been idyllic.
Racial tensions have always existed and show little sign of stopping. Angels and Demons are in a constant struggle, the Vampires and Werewolves can never seem to get along, and the Hybrids are still ostracized from many a group. With the races so divided, will anyone be able to face the newest threat: a group of hunters waiting for just the perfect moment to strike at the tumultuous city. And all the while, looking on is an omniscient high council that's anything but just.
