MIRROR OF ERISED: Standing with her little sister, as a Gryffindor.
DEMENTOR: When the sorting hat shouted out Slytherin.
BOGGART: An inferi/zombie hobbling towards her. She has an irrational fear of the undead, and becoming one of them.
AMORENTIA: Chocolate (she has a major sweet tooth), roses (her mother smells like roses) and butterbeer (her father always used to take her out for some).
PATRONUS: When her little sister said her name as her first word. Her patronus is a blue bird.
STRENGTHS:
Good memory - Coia only needs to look something over a few times and its lodged in her brain. She's great for asking for directions, and can recite a paragraph from her textbook almost exactly to the point.
Slytherin's cunning and resourceful nature - She can find her way out of most problems, sneaking through loopholes and tip-toeing around truths. She's not afraid to bend a story if necessary, though she tries to avoid it.
Dueling - She loves it, and she's good at it. Quick wand movements and good balance makes her a good opponent. It also doesn't help that she has a variety of spells up her sleeve from studying.
Knack for DADA. - It's her best subject by far, mostly due to favouritism towards Professor Riddle.
Clever - She's certainly not an idiot, and her determination to get to the top of her class drives her to study. However, she does it when others are away, to spare the teasing.
WEAKNESSES:
Easily subjected to guilt - She has a guilty conscience, that comes to haunt only after she has said an untruth or broken a rule. Its necessary sometimes, but the guilt...
Over-protective - When it comes to her little sister, or anyone she holds dear, she will do her best to protect them. However, she tends to... smother a bit, which repels some people.
Kinda selfish - She'll admit it openly, she is a bit of a selfish person. She's looking out for number one, and will try and grab the best of everything when she can. And she's not inclined to share.
Good memory - While its also a good thing, there are big negatives. She'll remember most times one has insulted her, horrid events that have occurred, and its harder for her to forgive and forget.
Lashes out when scared or angry - When Coia feels she's been backed into a corner, she'll lash out; verbally and occasionally physically.

OVERALL PERSONALITY: She lacks self-confidence, hates confrontation, and easily feels guilty. However, she lashes out, lives for Defence Against The Dark Arts and has a sharp tongue. These traits don't seem to fit together, do they? However, they come together in Coia. Though she wants to be a Gryffindor, she doesn't quite see how much of a Slytherin she is. Still, after two years of being a Slytherin, she's a lot less bitter about it then she used to be. Although that doesn't prevent her from wanting to be in Gryffindor. However, that doesn't mean she's completely civil to them. Mocking the odd Gryffindor is what helps her make up for the fact that she isn't one. It sounds childish, yes, but its what she does. She feels slightly guilty afterwards, but she does it regardless.
When provoked, she lashes out verbally, and has quite the sharp tongue. She strives to be successful, and aims to do well in class. Much like a classic Slytherin, she'll do whatever it takes to do well, no matter what. Nothing will stop her from reaching her goals, not a person, object, or even emotion. Nope, you sound nothing like a Slytherin at all, Coia. [/size][/ul]

FATHER: Arundel Aldwin, 38, Magizoologist - father.
SIBLINGS: Artura Ordway, 16, Gryffindor, sixth year - older sister
Amelia Aldwin, 11, Gryffindor, first year - younger sister
HISTORY: Coia was born into a caring home. Her parents, Alice and Arundel were newly-weds, just having returned from their honeymoon. She grew up in a healthy household... well, it used to be healthy. Her sister, who had a different father, who had apparently divorced Coia's mother, became bitter. Artura never really liked Arundel, his meek ways annoying her. She would torment Coia for it, saying that she would grow up that way too. Still, there was one thing that the whole family believed, and what Coia had been brought up to believe; Gryffindors were best house at Hogwarts. Alice and Arundel continued to tell them about their accomplishments, how amazing Gryffindor. At the same time, they preached about the wrong of Slytherin; how He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was a Slytherin, and how generally awful they were.
So, not to her surprise, everyone was overjoyed when Artura was placed into Gryffindor. However, when Coia went up to the Sorting Hat and was sorted into Slytherin, her parents weren't the happiest people. Her sister mocked her, and Coia continued to wonder why she had been placed in Slytherin. Her first year was miserable, constantly beating herself up for not being placed in Gryffindor. Her second year; there was some improvement. She started talking to her classmates more, and made a friend or two. Now, her objective for her third year; to take care of her little sister during her first year.[/size][/ul]

Cold. That was the only word Coia could use to describe her present situation. Cold. REALLY cold. Freezing even. And where where was her class on this cold day? Outside, in Care of Magical Creatures. She was wearing 3 layers underneath her robes, and two scarves. It made it hard to walk, but she was sure she would freeze otherwise. The Slytherin sighed, her breath visible as it quickly disappeared. And what were they learning about, you ask?
A Flobberworm. A bloody Flobberworm! They were harmless, worm-like creatures that ate vegetables. They were out in the freezing cold, for this?! Honestly, what was Professor Hagrid thinking?! They had already learned a lot about them in Herbology, mostly how to get rid of them. They didn't pose a threat at all. However, despite this little inner rant, she was listening intently. She was aiming to be a top student, so she would act like a top student. And that meant paying attention... no matter how useless the lesson was. How utterly useless...
