Death day parties were never something Cait had taken joy in. Mainly because hers fell on Christmas day so everybody was I high spirits and being drunkenly joyous. So, like most years, she spent Christmas on her own, in the prefect’s bathroom, staring at the tiles she had slipped on. She could have spent her day taking her mind off of the fact that she was very much dead, but what else could she do? She became less corporal around her death day, being so depressed about it, so she couldn’t even mess about with Idris’ office.
Since, Idris had been nothing but his usual grumpy self with her, and considering around Christmas people started talking about them more, and the fact that everyone thought he ‘killed’ her. So he tried to keep away from her as much as possible. February now here and he was STILL avoiding her. If she appeared in a room, he left. If he saw her in the corridor he’d turn around and go the other way. With no other friends in the castle, Cait found herself loitering the fourth floor.
She’d floated through the library, attempted to mess with the books and make a nuisance out of herself there, but her hand went straight through; which only served to anger Cait further. She screamed to herself and disappeared from sight. "I HATE this!" She grumbled.

Ginny was alone again and she was enjoying her own compancy. She was usually a rather popular girl with her house mates, especially since she was on the quiddich team, however she also enjoyed her own company too. She walked through the chily castle halls, winter was coming soon since it was late September by now and her fifth year had well and truly begun. In hinesight she should be studding for her OWLs and anyone passing her would assume her pile of parchments and quills she was carrying were for start of term cramming but in fact they were art materials.
Ginny Weasley had a hiddern talent for art; she was infact a very good artist and it was her out let for stress and sadness when she couldnt go and fly. Today Ginny found herself eventually in the library with her art materials and she set them out on a table in the corner.
Ginny had been sat for a short while when she heard a whisper behind her; I hate this Ginny looked up in surprise for the source of the voice but she couldnt see anyone, she shook her head and turned back to her work. Wondering if it was in her head or wheather the speeker would show themselves.

Cait rolled her eyes as she saw a girl who was obviously Ginny Weasley from the color of her hair. "Hello, miss Weasley." She floated over to the girl, reappearing, "The students still think Idris murdered me, I'm not allowed to have any fun near my Death Day, am I? I can't even get in his office to mess things around." she scoffed at the idea. She knew she had fallen on her own stupid accord. She knew it was her own fault that she'd drowned, she hadn't felt anybody lay a hand on her, and she'd have felt something if she'd been cursed.
She'd looked over the shoulder of an unsuspecting first year as they flicked through a book, and half scared them to death when she'd explitively exclaimed over their shoulder about the book, you'd think over the last thirteen years people would have gotten over the fact that she had died in school, and stop pointing the finger. There was obviously no evidence of murder, and if he had murdered her, the investigation would have had him thrown in Askaban for it. He was still at the school, still teaching, so obviously he had to be innocent.
Not that students ever saw that.
"You reckon people will ever get over it, and believe me that he didn't touch me?" she thought about her comment before retracting it slightly, "Well," she elongated the word for a fair while, "Not in that way, anyway..." she trailed off and grinned at the ginger.

Ginny almost jumped out of her skin when the ghost of a girl reappeared. Even after four and a bit years at the school there was still not getting used to the ghosts. "Oh hello, Caitlyn isnt it?" Ginny asked and almost added "how do you know my name" but it was hard to deny being a Weasley. Ginny sighed, she hated constantly having to live up to her six older brother and do better then them to show everyone she was her own person. Though Ginny knew who Cait was, everyone knew the stories of the Hogwarts ghosts and her was rather famous; killed in the toilets of the school. Rather depressing Ginny thought, no wonder she had come back; unfinished business.
"Your death day, oh I'm, erm, sorry" Ginny scrunshed her eyebrows, what did you say... Sorry? Happy death day? Ginny shook her head but laughed a little to herself.
Every one said you got killed; they say he pushed you or cursed you or something?" Ginny looked at the girl now, she was interested in her story. Everyone was, but Ginny felt sorry for her. She imagined for a moment if Harry pushed her and she died. No one knew how much she loved him though he was so far out of reach, especially now with this doppleganger; she was so confused.

"Yup. You're Ginny Weasley, right?" Caitlyn laughed as she watched the first year she had scared leave the library unusually quickly. What was so frightning about her, why did Caitlyn scare them? She didn't get it. A ghost haunting the castle in pajamas, how was that scary? Well, it did prove to be very useful when she wanted time to herself, all she had to do was stick her hand through the person bothering her and they would run, out of suprise, not fear, but it was all the same to her.
"Ah, well." Caitlyn sighed, thinking about pulling up a chair for herself but deciding not to as it would take to much consentration to stay on it and not go through it.
"Yeah. Everyone SAYS that he pushed me, or cursed me. But does anyone listen to ME? Of course not." She looked down at her floating feet, feet that could no longer touch the ground like living people. She knew the TRUE story about what happened, she was the only one. Not even Idris knew it, all he knew was he didn't cause it. But students could continue to make assumptions, Cait didn't care, she DID haunt Idris, right? So it was almost her own fault, she knew everyone thought a ghost haunts the person who murdered them, and she haunted Idris, but not for that reason. Not for that reason, at all.

"Yeah I'm Ginny Weasley, nice to erm meet you" Ginny said not really making eye contact with Caitlyn. Ginny followed Caits eyes to the first year quickly exiting the library, Ginny had seen many studants hurry away from the ghosts but she was used to them, thye were no problem compared the the ghoul in her attic which had in all honesty scared her as a child. But she did find the Hogwarts ghosts rather insightfull, some were even nice to chat to, except moaning myrtle of course.
Ginny watched Caitlyns look of consentration as she sat on the chair, Ginny watched her for a moment wondering if she would sink though. Ginny blinked a few times when she relised she was staring and returned her gaze to Caits face. "I dont get why people dont listen to you, youre the only one who really know what happened though" Ginny said thought fully "What did happen" she added interestedly after a few moments. Some people would consider her strange but after her near death experience in the chamber of secrets Ginny was always interested in that sort of thing.

Cait couldn’t care about what teenagers wanted, it wasn’t the truth, why couldn’t they just leave it all alone? Scandal or not, it didn’t warrant a yearly gossip column based on them. That bloody newspaper recycled the same story every year to get the first years talking and the older students theorising the situation further, all it served to do was get Idris is a worse mood and put Cait off tormenting him because she lost all capability to do so. ”Yeah. You too, I guess” she commented off hand, ”So, ya doin' some studying?” Cait sighed.
”Teenagers like making stories. What's the fun in listening to a 30 year old ghost?” Cait practically whined. ”I don’t want the whole ghost thing going on. I’m dead, why couldn’t I be that way? Dead. Not floating around being bored!” if she wouldn’t fall through it, she would have slumped into the chair by Ginny. ”Maybe if I didn’t have the ghost thing going for me people wouldn’t think he’d offed me!” she grumbled. She wanted to have fun, do SOMETHING. She’d never even tried to leave the castle, she didn’t even know if she could. It sucked to be a ghost. Especially when you’d not had a chance at life first.

"Studying? Oh no, erm art" Ginny sighed looking down at her parchment she had begun to skectch the quiddich pitch on, she knew she should be studying, she was in the library after all, but reading wasnt really he thing, she enjoyed her art. It gave her freedom, she could let her mind wander to get rid of her stresses if only temporarliy, or she could let her hand wander across the page while she thought things over. Today of course she'd been thinking of Harry.
"Bored? I though floating around could be quite cool, though i guess floating forever must get boaring" Ginny said thoughtfully. She had immagined being a ghost would be like being on a broom but once she thought about it it probably wasnt even simmilar, even with a broom you want to get off eventually. "What can ghosts do for fun" Ginny wondered out loud.
"You mean you didnt want to be a ghost? I heard you can chose if you want to but hardly anyone does thats why there isnt many" Ginny asked thoughtfully. She didnt know much about ghosts but some people said it was unfinished business and others said you could chose, she had never really thought that much about it all.
