Joseph had been eating his breakfast out by the lake, enjoying the last bit of sun left before winter truely began. It was earlier than he was usually up on a weekend so his friends and siblings were probably still sleeping or in their dorms at least. Joseph wondered what to do today since he was alone for now untill he could find someone. Joe wasnt usually one for spending time alone since he was quite a bright and bubbly person eventhough he had the family werewolf curse. His siblings were more serious than him and moped around or were angry over their lot in life but Joseph was different, be knew there were people worse off than him and he wanted to make the most of his life. Joseph began to wander the castle and saw students begining to appear telling him it was getting to a more earthly hour. Joseph eventually found himself on the third floor and entered an empty classroom where he could just think.

Chase had been up early as well and was just wondering around and taking in the quite. But as he went walked by a window he looked out and knew soon the others where going to get up and get ready for the day. It had been awhile since he had done this as he was ale to just get his thoughts together better. Chase was now on the third floor as he went walking down a little farther and then he came to an empty classroom, well he thought it was anyway. Chase walked into the classroom as he then saw the other student in there as well. "Hello." Chase then said to the other boy as he looked over to him.

Joseph was lost in a day dream as he stood leaning against the rooms cold stone walls looking vaugly out of the huge window. He was thinking how it was only a few day till the next full moon and how worried his older sister was no matter how he assured her. It was the same every month. Sometimes Josephs life felt so repetitive. Joseph heard a noise behind him like the door of the classroom opening then footsteps on the woodern floor boards. Joseph turned around and saw another student walking into the room, Joe smiled Hey" he greated the boy brightly. Joseph was generally a very bubbly person, especially meeting new people. He looked at the boy a little more and smiled gingerly. "My names Joseph, Joseph Grayback" he said smiling and holding his hand out to greet the boy. "Your a Ravenclaw arnt you?" he stated rather than asked, recongising him from the corridors and meal times. However Joe didnt know the boys name, he thought they were in different years since he didnt recognise him from any classes. In the back of his mind Joseph thought he would have a cute name.

Chase heard him and sa him turn around to look at him. "It's good to meet you, Joseph." He then said to him as he saw he hand out and he reached out with his hand and took it to shake it. "Yeah, I am. My name is Chase Marshall." He then said back to Joe as he went walking over towarded him and then stopped. "I hope am not keeping you from something. You looked like you were in some deep thought there." He then added to Joe.

"Nice to meet you Chase Joseph smiled. Chase it wasnt a common name, more a mondern name in comparison with Joseph but then again all of the Grayback children had more oldfashioned or traditional names, though it was hard to find something that fitted Grayback since most people had heard of their father though didn't often make the connection since they tended to keep to themselves. Joseph looked intently at Chase as he came a little closer then continued speeking, wondering if he had interupded a deep thought. Joe wondered what to say; he didnt usually tell people he was a werewolf, esspecially not on a first meeting but he didnt like to lie so he just left out the details "I'm just worring about my older sister, Cassie, she gets really stressed, girls are no fun" he said laughing it off as simple sibling troubles, which was of course partly true, once he knew Chase better he could explain, people tended to prejudge him. It was also true girls were more than 'no fun', even though he was just going on 14 he knew he didn't like girls like that.

Chase looked at him as he heard what he had told him. He smirked and then laughed. "I understand." He said to him. "I know a few girls that get way to stressed out over things. It drives me crazy." Chase said to Joe. "Getting up early could the best part of the day. As few people are up and you can do just about whatever you wish." He then added to Joe as he the turned to look out the window. as chase had done that just to see what Joseph would say.

Joseph laughed as Chase agreed "They all do, I have three sisters and damn they get crazy" he said with a chuckle. Most girls were the same not just his sisters. Joseph listened to Chases comment about the mornings and he smiled, Joseph agreed, he liked time alone and the mornings are the best time since as Chase said, not many people are awake at that time. "I think mornings are the best time of day, I mean nights are nice but other people stay up late, not many get up early" Joseph replied thoughtfully. He liked the thought of having a friend that liked mornings too, it often got a little too lonely for his liking.

Chase was listening to himas he then turned back to face Joseph. "Right." He noded his head as he agreed. Joseph, What kind of things do you like to do?" Chase then asked him as je looked him in the eyes. As he liked talking to him and wanted to know more about him, at least as much as Joseph wants to tell him that it. Which was all good by him, Chase liked meeting new people always had. Well, getting up early was something they both liked and was a good start.

Joseph smiled at Chase and hopped up onto one of the desks in the classroom and swung his legs while listening to Chase. Joe thought about the question for a few moments before answering. "Well I enjoy flying, I'm not on the team or anything but it makes me feel free I can just fly away from everything." Joseph replied with a sigh. He liked to get away from people because he wasnt accepted for who he was; not as a werewolf and as a boy because he was different and people didnt like that. Joseph relised he was being a little spacey so he thought again before continuing "I'm not really sure what else I like, I mean I'm not too much of a reader but I dont mind school work. I like to play pranks and jokes, especially on my siblings, Cassie, my eldest sister, she always says I mess around so I guess that" he said laughing a little bit, it was true, the main thing Joseph did was just have fun. He was bubbly and just wanted to make the most of life. "What about you Chase?" Joseph asked, he was honestly interested in getting to know Chase, he seemed interesting and kinda cute, deffinatly someone Joe wanted to spend more time with. Getting to know people was important because there was so much about him that people often didnt accept.

Chase had watched Joe and then heard what he had said. As he then noticed he had stopped, but only for a little, Joe said more to him. "Flying.. I enjoy flying. I'm not on the team but who knows maybe I wil be someday. I like to read and just have fun really." He told him. "So how is it having siblings? I don't have any.. that might be a good thing." Chase said to him and then laughed. "I always hear siblings fighting around here." He then added to Joe.

Joseph smiled brightly seeing they had things in common "Maybe we could fly together sometime" Joe suggested a little nervously, hoping Chase would want to spend time with him. "I'm sure your brilliant will make the team" he added kindly and honestly. Chase was the right build for a flyer Joe noticed. Joseph thought about Chases question, "what was it like to have siblings". It was hard to explain. "Well its good some times, there are six of us, we are a really close family but sometimes we dont agree cos two of us are in Hufflepuff and the other four are Slytherins so that causes some friction 'cause I mean our dad hes an ex-slytherin so well hes not happy we arnt." Joseph said sighing thoughtfully. His family was very important -well his brothers and sister -because they didnt have real parents not like a real family would. "Hearing fighting, thats probably us! I get on everyones nerves!" Joe said laughing. "Whats you family like? I mean you dont have to say but well you said its a good thing you dont have siblings" Joseph said curiously. Of course he was maybe praying a little deep but he wasnt going to force Chase to speek.

"Sure, we can fly together sometime." Chase said Joe. "Thank you." He said as he smiled at Joe and heard what he had said next. " Boy, that is a big family." He added to of him and then laughed. "That just might of been you guys." As he joked. "My parents where young when they had me. So they married young as well to 'do the right thing'. Well, my father hates me, cause he didn't get the life he really wanted. I can never make them happy, no matter what i did." He told Joe. "They are bloody bad parents, so its good they had no more kids." He then added.

"Youre welcome" Joseph said as Chase acknowladged his compliment. "Yeah it sure is, its a little crazy sometimes, but its just us, sometimes dad if hes not off working" Joe laughed coldly when he said working he could hardly call snatching working. "Man thats gotta be hard, I'm... sorry" he didnt really know what to say but then added "I know what its like to not make your parents happy, well my dad really, my mum left when I was a little kid, we all have different mums" he explained, trying to tell Chase he knew how it felt, it was the same a little, their situations had diffences but it all came down to a crappy family. "I suppose youre right, but the thing about siblings is that they are always there even if your parents are you stick together" Joe said sadly, he felt sorry Chase didn't have anyone. Joe hoped the two could be friends and mabe he could be there instead of siblings he could have a friend...

"I guess so, everything had a good and bad side.. right." Chase then said to Joe. "Don't worry about, you don't need to be sorry. It's fine, really." He added as he gave Joseph a smile. Chase was use to it and was use to doing what he had too. Part of him really didn't mind one bit of it but the other side of him was. He wasn't going to let on with that nobody saw that side of him and they wouldn't if he could help it.

Joseph nodded in agreement "As long as the good is worth the bad" he said sadly, knowing that that wasnt always true but he didnt want to press that matter. Chase seemed unphased by it all but that would be just the top of the iceburge Joe thought. He remembered the first time he ever hear that saying about how iceburges had more beneath the surface and people did too, he remembered his mother had said it before she left him alone with his father, and siblings of course. Joe moved his hand and touched Chases with a warm smile. He didnt want the other young man to feel alone.
